Faculty play a pivotal role in the postdoctoral experience, and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is here to support them as they mentor and train postdoctoral fellows at Northwestern University. This section contains resources to related mentoring and postdoc professional development.

The Office of the Provost, The Graduate School, and the Center for Leadership offer the Northwestern Faculty Mentoring Training Program for faculty to aid in the mentoring of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Learn more about the training here.
Individual Development Plans
Learn more about Individual Development Plans, tools to help you articulate your professional development needs and career goal. IDPs can can also serve as a resource to help initiate and sustain conversations between mentees and mentors and develop mutual expectations.
Training Grant Support Office
TGSO supports Northwestern in the preparation of institutional training grant applications and serves active training grant programs by providing information, answering questions, and helping resolve issues.
