A Message from the Dean of The Graduate School
Dear Members of the Northwestern Postdoctoral Community,
Today is the first day of National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week (NPAW), which runs through Friday, September 24. I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere gratitude to you, our postdoctoral scholars. You contribute positively to the values and mission of Northwestern in so many important ways, and we are delighted to recognize your critical roles in our intellectual community.
You have all done so much to continue the University’s teaching and research mission throughout the pandemic, and your dedication has been exemplary. Many of you were among the first to return to campus following the initial shutdown. Others have been leading the way with remote instruction or finding innovative ways to further the University’s mission from home under less-than-ideal circumstances. Thank you for your many contributions to our community—they have not gone unnoticed, especially in these unparalleled times.
This week, we celebrate you—our valued postdoctoral community. We have a full week of giveaways, programming, and social opportunities planned. Please visit our Postdoctoral Affairs website for a complete list of activities and to register to participate.
As we look forward to this week of celebration, I also like to thank the Northwestern University Postdoctoral Association (NUPA) and the Office for Research for their help in planning and sponsoring events. I hope you will take time to participate in the festivities this week. We look forward to seeing you in person and appreciate everything you do for Northwestern.
Sincerely,
Kelly
