Postdoctoral Fellowship Opportunity - Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms of Alzheimer's Disease

A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available immediately at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Vassar, Professor of Neurology.

The postdoctoral research project will involve investigations of molecular and cellular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis. Applicants should have a PhD in a field of the life sciences and/or MD degree.

Preference will be given to individuals working in the neuroscience field and with expertise in current molecular and cellular techniques, including recombinant DNA technologies, RNA and protein analysis, cell culture, histology, and confocal microscopy. Familiarity with genetic mouse models is preferred. Experience with manuscript writing and preparation is necessary. Salary will be commensurate with experience, based on the NIH scale.
