Postdoctoral positions available in the Department of Pathology. University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine

Several postdoctoral research scholar positions are available in Department of Pathology at the University of Iowa to investigate NIH-funded projects in cancer initiation, progression and drug/therapy resistance. Available projects include: 1. Investigate novel mechanisms of ovarian cancer development, study acquired resistance to key drug treatments, and identify new biomarkers and therapeutic targets for overcoming treatment resistance; 2. Investigate new mechanisms of resistance in lung cancer to targeted therapy and radiation treatments with the goal of improving targeted therapy and radiation; and 3. Study mechanisms of lung carcinogenesis induced by arsenic and chromium, key environmental carcinogens.

Qualifications: Candidates should have an PhD or MD/PhD degree with laboratory experience in molecular biology and animal models of disease, and good written and verbal communication skills. To apply, please send a cover letter, CV, and contact information for 3 referees.
