Job Opportunity, Part-time: Postdoctoral Administrative Fellow, Rush University

Rush University Graduate College invites applications for a part-time Postdoctoral Administration Fellow position to support the Office of Career Development and Industry Outreach. This part-time position is designed for postdoctoral scientists who are interested in developing academic leadership skills while working to solve current challenges in graduate education in biomedical sciences.

The Postdoctoral Administrative Fellow will work directly with the Office Director on various projects and programs to enhance the portfolio of services and resources. This individual will have the opportunity to write manuscripts, support a graduate course on “Career Planning” and give seminars on selected topics. The fellow will also have the opportunity to develop an independent project that aligns with their individual career interests.

This is an excellent opportunity for any postdoctoral scholar interested in pursuing a career in academic administration and career development. Candidates must be able to commit to minimum of 8 hours per week with minimum of six month commitment. Additionally, postdoctoral scholar’s mentor’s approval is required.

Qualifications:
  • PhD degree
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project/time/budget/people skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff and students
