Postdoctoral Training Opportunity – Rheumatoid Arthritis Patient-Oriented Research

The Central Pain in Rheumatoid Arthritis (CPIRA) Group, led by Dr. Yvonne Lee, invites applications for postdoctoral fellow positions in patient-oriented research, focused on pain, rest-activity patterns, and autonomic function in patients with arthritis. Our research group's overall mission is to improve pain management in patients with systemic rheumatic diseases, using treatments targeted to specific pain mechanisms.

The goal of this postdoctoral position is to support the clinical research training, career development, and professional growth of the postdoctoral fellow. The fellow will be mentored by Dr. Yvonne Lee and other faculty investigators at Northwestern University. The fellow can expect to receive hands-on experience and training in a range of fields pertaining to clinical epidemiology, rheumatology research, and pain research. The fellow will learn how to design epidemiological studies, the basics of statistical methods, and how to apply these methods to the study of rheumatic diseases. The fellow will get first-hand experience in designing retrospective and prospective studies, presenting the results at national meetings, and writing manuscripts.
