Postdoctoral Training Opportunity – Ovarian Cancer Research at the Matei Lab

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow for the laboratory of Dr. Daniela Matei. The Matei Laboratory group’s overall research interests are to investigate epigenetic and metabolic mechanisms of drug resistance and stemness in ovarian cancer. Our group uses state-of-the-art technics including mouse models, cell culture systems, and genome-wide analyses, and collaborates with clinical colleagues to obtain human tumors.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a PhD and be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, creative, and open to addressing new research challenges. The fellow is expected to independently design and conduct projects under the supervision of Dr. Matei.

Candidates with a strong background in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • reproductive science,
  • mouse handling skills,
  • primary cell culture,
  • RNA-seq,
  • ChIP-seq, and
  • modern statistical approaches/bioinformatics.
