Postdoctoral Training Opportunity – Surgery-Transplantation

postdoctoral research scientist position is available in the research laboratory of James M. Mathew, PhD, Research Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Department of Surgery-Transplantation, in Chicago, IL. Candidates interested in advancing their research career and who have experience in cellular and molecular immunology are strongly encouraged to apply.

The postdoctoral research project will involve investigations of molecular and cellular mechanisms of transplant rejection and immune tolerance as well as immune responses to COVID-19 vaccines. Salary will be commensurate with experience, based on the National Institutes of Health NRSA scale. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicants must have a PhD in immunology or related field from an accredited institution.

Required Competencies

  • Experience with manuscript writing and preparation.

Preferred Competencies

  • Preference will be given to individuals working in the immunology field and with expertise in current molecular and cellular techniques, including cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISA and genetic sequence analysis.
