Postdoctoral Training Opportunity – Dr. D. James Surmeier laboratory

The laboratory of Dr. D. James Surmeier has a research position (open rank) available to pursue the brain circuitry underlying Parkinson’s disease. The Surmeier lab is using a variety of approaches to conduct high impact work in this area. Applicants should have expertise with electrophysiological approaches in ex vivo brain preparations. There will be an opportunity to train in complementary methods, including optogenetics, chemogenetics, and two-photon imaging.

The Surmeier lab is located on the Chicago campus of Northwestern University (USA), which is situated in a vibrant international community near Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago.
