Postdoctoral Training Opportunity - Neisseria Genetics and Pathogenesis

Northwestern University's Department of Microbiology-Immunology is looking for a postdoctoral researcher who will or has obtained their PhD within the past three years to join their research group to study the mechanism behind the pilus antigenic variation system of the strict human pathogen Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and the related organism Neisseria meningitidis. PhD researchers interested in establishing their own groups are encouraged to apply. This system of gene diversification is a model for those systems that allow microorganisms to create variants within a lineage to escape immune surveillance and alter functional properties. Please send a Curriculum vitae and the names of three professional references to Hank Seifert at h-seifert@northwestern.edu.
