Postdoctoral Training Opportunity - Neisseria Antigenic Variation Mechanisms

The Seifert Laboratory in the Department of Microbiology-Immunology is looking to recruit a new postdoctoral researcher to conduct fundamental research into the genetic mechanisms that allow the high frequency, gene conversion, recombination reactions that underlie Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Neisseria meningitidis. They are seeking a person who has received their PhD or MD/PHD within the past five years and has published peer-reviewed research. Experience with molecular biology techniques is essential, while biochemistry, genetics, and microbiology expertise would be helpful. The goal for the person in this position is to establish an independent research career.

Please send your curriculum vitae with professional references to Hank Seifert, h-seifert@northwestern.edu.
