Postdoctoral Training Opportunity - Molecular Therapeutics

Job Description

A postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the Northwestern University Falk Center for Molecular Therapeutics in Evanston, IL. The position will involve studying the molecular pharmacology of CNS receptors using advanced molecular techniques using in vitro and in vivo model systems.

Responsibilities

The Postdoctoral fellow will spend time maintaining and manipulating tissue culture lines, cloning various transgenes/peptides into expression vectors, production, and purification of recombinant proteins in various systems, and analysis of in vitro and in vivo function in appropriate model systems.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a PhD degree and have published experience using molecular neuroscience techniques, as well as some experience with quantitative biochemistry and molecular modeling. Requires a practical understanding of advanced molecular biological techniques.
