Postdoctoral Training Opportunity - Cancer Biology

Postdoctoral (postdoc) positions are available at the Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, Department of Medicine and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, located at Chicago, IL, USA. The Yu lab combines bioinformatics analysis with cutting-edge genomics technologies to investigate transcriptional and epigenetic regulations of cancer with specific interests in hormonal transcription factors and chromatin modifiers.  In particular, their research focuses on delineating the molecular mechanisms of prostate cancer and developing novel therapeutic strategies to treat castration-resistant prostate cancer (Zhao et al., Genome Res.2012;22(2):322-31, Jin et al., Nat Commun. 2014;5:3972, Fong et al., Cancer Res, 2017, Song et al., J Clin Invest, 2018; Xu et al., Cell Res 2019). Highly motivated individuals with strong interests in the areas of cancer biology, cancer genomics and epigenomics, cancer immunology, bioinformatics, or translational cancer research are invited to apply.

Candidates for this position should have a Ph.D. in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioinformatics or related fields. The successful applicant will have strong scientific thinking, logical design and interpretation of experiments, outstanding technical skills in molecular/cellular biology, and excellent communication skills. Experiences or interests in genomics and epigenomics are a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record of first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Interested individuals should send curriculum vitae and a list of at least three references in a single pdf to Dr. Jindan Yu (jindan-yu@northwestern.edu) with “Postdoc Position” in the subject line.
